I really like the ones called Purity by Philosophy. They have em at Ulta and Sephora.

Zip-up tops– For surgery and lounging around

Comfy clothes– To lounge around in. The last thing I felt like wearing was anything tight! You want to feel easy and comfortable so you can relax. Move slowly and carefully so you heal nicely and preserve your surgery results. No sudden muscle movements!

Hot/Cold gel pack– Post surgery usage

Sunglasses sunglasses 2

Post-surgery usage

Food for your hotel such as dry snacksShrimp Chips 2

~Avoid: Heavy electronic equipment such as computers and iPads. I tried to work, but my eyes were tired so fast, even from watching TV. Fully focus on letting your eyes heal. Straining them will delay healing and stress your eyes and your body out.

… and last but not least, your normal bathroom items, minus the eye goo yey!

This is the beginning of true freedom!

 Have a delightful trip! ♥♥

I want to say a BIG THANK YOU- you are one of the reasons why I am going to Dr. Lee for my revision eyelid surgery. I went on to youtube thinking, “there must be hundreds of videos out there with real testimonials from girls or guys who’ve had asian eyelid surgeries”…. and guess what? There are close to none! And I mean ones where you tape yourself, without the fancy cameras at the fancy office setting with a scripted questionnaire. I came across yours almost immediately and was so relieved. I had been debating between 3 doctors and the more I watched your videos and hear the conviction in your voice, the easier the decision became. Thanks so much!!!!!!

    Hi! Love your posts !
Also wanna get an eyelid surgery. However I’m quite afraid to get scars and that I might look too artificial. Also don’t want to let anyone know that I’m getting this surgery. But I guess people will notice after getting it right? I usually wear a make up so I guess won’t realize that much difference once I barely left home without make up.
I have only 5 days off. Do u think it will b enough to get it healed and not having my eyes swallow? I don’t want to go back to work looking like retarded.
Thanks for sharing ur experience with us !

Hi Isabela! Where are you planning on going to do it and which procedure?
I am one of those people that do not scar well, and yet I have zero scarring, not even a line from my surgery with Dr. Lee. I have also heard of people going to him for a revision because of scarring from other surgeons’ results. Yes, the people close to you will notice because of the poofiness, but foundation on your eyelids and lashes will help conceal most of it. If you wear a lot of makeup, that helps, too. 5 days is a good amount of time, good enough to get your energy back to working again. I SO know what you mean about not wanting anyone to know about the surgery. The truth is, people will, and it’s ok : ) I guess I want for everyone to not have to feel that they have to hide it, because it messes with your conscience.

I wrote an “After Letter” for gals to read after their surgery, and here is a part that relates to this : )

“Is everyone going to notice or say something to me? What about when I go back to work? I hope no one notices. Yes and no- strangers in public won’t know it’s surgery, especially if it’s dark out- I sat next to a nurse on the airplane that didn’t notice anything, even as I was pointing it out to her. People that know you will notice. Just stay cool and calm : ) Berating the questioner, becoming flustered, or getting defensive are all acts that will transfer respect to them from you, so respond to anyone with grace and assume only positive intent on their side- most people have no idea what it is. Others will project their own fears onto you. This is actually an opportunity to elevate yourself: you are a front-runner and have your act together. ”

As far as your eyelid style, you can get it with such a small crease that is barely noticeable.

Thank you for visiting my blog and good luck : )

Hi Mali, I found your comment, “I guess I want for everyone to not have to feel that they have to hide it, because it messes with your conscience” really helpful. For a long time I didn’t want anyone to know I was planning to get eyelid surgery and rhinoplasty from fear of rejection – I agree with your comment that it’s actually people projecting their own fears. In the last few weeks I started to feel okay with sharing with several other people about my planned surgery; I felt so much better! Your sharing in one of your youtube videos about needing to be in a good place at the time of surgery is also helpful. Even if I know it logically, if one is new to cosmetic surgery it helps so much for the validation and just the support alone makes all the difference. Thank you so much and as Isabella said, thank you for sharing your experience and advice with us! 🙂
